Bergen Group Services awarded a framework contracts from the Army in various disciplines
(Bergen, March 4th 2014): Bergen Group Services is awarded frame agreements from the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation (FLO) for a total of eight different disciplines related to the service maintenance on different vessels at the Armed Forces. In four of these disciplines, there are signed agreements with Bergen Group beeing the No. 1 provider.

The framework contracts have all a length of 2 years with an option to extend for another 1 +1 year. The contracts are expected to yield revenues of NOK 10-15 million the first two years.
Bergen Group has for a long time worked on developing the Group's expertise and capacity in the implementation of complex marine projects. This also implies a dedicated focus on strengthening the various specialized disciplines within the group. The framework contract with the Armed Forces is considered important to maintain a continuous development of expertise.
Bergen Group Services AS, a fully owned subsidiary of Bergen Group ASA, has approximately 150 employees and is responsible for the Group's maritime service operations. The activity is today headquartered at Laksevåg in Bergen, but will in the future be co-locating much of the activity with the group's other activities Hanøytangen at Askøy outside Bergen. The company was earlier this quarter awarded a 4-year framework contract with the Armed Forces of maintenance and service work related to the Armed Forces MTU engines.
